Lyubov Kurkalova joined the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD) as a research assistant in 1993. She is now an associate scientist, working in the Resource and Environmental Policy Division of CARD. Lyubov received her Ph.D. in agricultural economics at Iowa State in 1999. She has an extensive background in applied mathematics, data processing and analysis, and computer programming. Her recent research has focused on the efficiency of sequestering carbon in agricultural soils, and on conservation tillage adoption.
