Mahdi Al-Kaisi is an assistant professor in the Department of Agronomy at Iowa State University. He holds a Ph.D. in soil science-soil physics/water management from North Dakota State University. Al-Kaisi specializes in soil management and the environment. He coordinates and provides leadership for soil management and environment programs at Iowa State University. He studies soil management and conversation practices and their impact on water quality, soil quality, nutrient management, and carbon storage under different tillage systems. Recent research has related to tillage practices, water quality, carbon sequestration, and nutrient management.
